Open Data Contests

The Province co-hosts an annual contest encouraging youth, entrepreneurs, and citizens to use data from the Nova Scotia Open Data Portal to create unique products or solutions in just over 24 hours.
Open data contests, sometimes referred to as hackathons, help to highlight open data, spark innovation, spur collaboration, and inspire reuse and increase the value of government's open data.
This page will highlight Open Data Contests held by the province.

The next Open Data Contest will be held March 2-3, 2019!

To learn more about the upcoming contest, please visit the Nova Scotia Open Data Contest event page on Eventbrite.
